A Brief Introduction
Founded in 1926, the club met with difficulties and almost went out of existence in 2006.
However, thanks to the efforts of Roy & Richard Locke new players & members were found and brought with them a fresh attitude and new impetus.
These newcomers, combined with a loyal hardcore of previous players saw the club relaunched and readmitted into the bottom division for the 2007 season.
In its current form as Royston "Old Town" CC, the mission is to now to rise as far back up the divisions as possible & to safeguard the future of cricket in the village of Royston.
The aim is to play competitive, winning cricket within the division we are in, but also to enjoy the social aspects of amateur cricket to the full
with a sense of humour and a sporting attitude.
